Stewart Is On Witness Stand Again
Stewart, chairman of Indiana Standard Oil, testified before the Senate teapot dome committee admitting he shared in the Continental Trading company deal with Sinclair Blackmer and O Neil. He said he received 759500 in bond profits but deposited them in a secret trust and used the income himself. He added the bond handling was unusual and said directors voted to pass bonds to Sinclair Crude Oil Purchasing. Sinclair plans to appear next Tuesday as the committee weighs contempt charges and hopes to obtain Fall deposition testimony if possible.

Mrs Edna Bannarns of near Keota died at her home yesterday afternoon. She was about thirty, wife of Ed Bannarns and mother of a seven year old son and a two week old baby. Born near Harper she moved to Keota as a child and left many friends. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Keota Catholic church, with burial in Keota Catholic cemetery. Father Necker to conduct.

Mrs. Oscar Schooley aged 47 of Brighton died about four this morning at Washington County Hospital after an ear infection led to pneumonia. Born Anna May Van Winkle in Germanville Iowa she moved to Brighton at age twelve and married Oscar Schooley in 1926. She leaves her husband, her parents, two sisters Dora and Agnes both of Brighton, four brothers, and will be buried in Brighton Cemetery Thursday at two.
