Washington voters weigh bonds for airport runway
Washington residents go to the polls Thursday to decide issuing 47 000 in bonds to build an all weather runway at the municipal airport. If approved the city would gain 66 000 in federal funds plus state contributions to complete the project. Polls open 8 am to 8 pm with four ward voting sites and rides to the polls offered by the McPowrs Auto Club. A 60 percent yes vote is required.
