Simpson Funeral Held in Ainsworth
Mrs. Ray E. Simpson died in Tulsa Oklahoma and funeral services were held Sunday in the Ainsworth Methodist church. Burial followed in Ainsworth cemetery. She was born Sarah Lilian Olds in Ainsworth on January 7 1886 and grew up there. She married Ray Simpson in 1909 at Centerville Iowa and lived in Iowa Oklahoma and finally Tulsa before illness and death last Friday. She was active in the Methodist church and Eastern Star. Surviving sisters are Mrs Fr H House of Ainsworth and Mrs Cora Mead of California. brothers Tom Olds of Centerville and Ace Olds of Mt Pleasant.

In St Louis four church members including Rev Robert C Williams and 13 year old Viola Lewis drowned during an Easter baptism in the Mississippi River. Deacon Joseph McGee 83 Deacon Henry Turner 45 and Viola Lewis 13 died as they lost footing and were swept downstream while witnesses watched from the levee. Deacon Robert White entered the water to rescue them but could not save them.
