Miller Tried to Pass Forged Check at Local Store

Joe Miller, about 27, attempted to cash a $11.25 forged check at J. C. McCartney & Son, using William Scofield’s name. He was arrested after returning the money and bound over for trial, with his father-in-law posting $300 bail.
