Rock Island Time Card Changes for Washington Arrivals
A new Rock Island timetable issued around April 20 will shift Washington arrivals and departures. Train 15 will reach Washington about 10:00 p m instead of 9:05, Train 8 The Firefly will depart Washington at 11:00 a m and run to Chicago, arriving back as Train 7 at 6:00 p m, not 7:50. Train 13 will arrive 12:10 a m, instead of 11:30. Branch connections No 215 and 216 will link with 15 and 16. Sol Rich advertises dry wood for sale.

Rain-Maker Jewel Binds Tests Across Dakota Counties
St Paul dispatch says Rain-Maker Jewel of Goodlar Kansas closed contracts in Brown and Spink counties South Dakota for summer tests. He will pay $750 to two reliable men in each of three counties to reveal his method, with $250 more per county if crops are good and present six day periods. Annual payments for three years follow. Aberdeen residents view the plan skeptically though country districts favor it. Jewel has $500 cash from Aberdeen after two days. he previously operated on Muscatine Isle last summer.
