In New York at Sheepshead Bay Max Bessler a mechanician for Lieut Joseph Stehlin was killed while testing the propeller of a biplane prepared for a cross state Liberty loan flight. In San Antonio Texas April 18 Lt Markham an American aviation camp flying instructor was killed when the aircraft inverted from 200 feet. A cadet aboard was injured but not seriously.
