Funeral Services for Wife of Minister Near Junction
Funeral services for Mrs. Trevor Williams aged 52 wife of the Salem Welsh Presbyterian pastor were held at the church near Columus City. She died after a brief heart trouble and is buried in Cam brian cemetery. She was born September 20 1877 in Shawnee Ohio and taught school before moving with her husband from Wisconsin six years ago. She led the Sunday school primary department and was president of the missionary society. Surviving are her husband a son William of Chicago a daughter Mary of Kansas City and two sisters Mrs. Mary Evans of Indiana and Mrs Morgan Ellsworth of Kansas.

Men of the Methodist church added to their lead over United Presbyterians in the Sunday school attendance contest. On Sunday Methodists had 203 men to 120 at United Presbyterian, cutting the overall deficit to 49 points with two Sundays remaining. The finish on the last Sunday in April resembles a close race. Dr W C Williamson of Monmouth Ill, former pastor, will speak at the United Presbyterian Sunday school next Sunday. Leslie Dunlap gave a special address at the United Presbyterian school yesterday.

Farm House Near Haskins Burned on Wood Harding Estate
April 14, a residence on the Wood Harding estate farm north of here near Haskins burned Saturday afternoon. Occupied by Wood Dawson, grandson of Mr Harding, the house was empty as Mr and Mrs Dawson were in Washington. The farm hand and the Dawson boys found the fire in a field and neighbors arrived too late to save the building. Much of the contents on the ground floor were saved. The barn had burned previously about three months earlier and not yet rebuilt. The fire’s cause was not established and insurance is believed to be on the house.
