Seven schools work on holiday favors for nursing homes and five on gift boxes, totaling about 150 boxes. A WSCS group donated a quilt.

Gunman Surrenders After 31 Hours With Child Hostage
In Pulaski Virginia a teen barricaded himself in his father in law's home for 31 hours with a 10 year old girl hostage. Police used a tear gas barrage and he surrendered screaming. The girl was unharmed and examined by a doctor. The gunman Jack Jennings 18 was beaten into submission and pushed into a police car then taken to the Southwestern State Mental Hospital at Marion Virginia.
