Washington High School seniors staged The Man Who Came to Dinner with Mark Hensel as Sheridan Whiteside delivering a central, continuous performance. The large cast included Beverly Carlton and Banjo, while director James Hervey guided a polished production to near sellout status for an additional 8 p.m. showing.

Changes Proposed to Washington Post Office Service
Postmaster Oral J. Brown outlines reductions in Washington office operations per orders from the Postmaster General. Army Retreats From Attack on Crater in California Backyard
Army demolitions team excavated a backyard crater in Temple City California and found only a baby buggy a tin can rubber hose and bones. The dig enlarged the crater to nearly 20 feet with no evidence of rockets missiles or explosives. Local boy Pat Murphy first reported the crater after a sonic boom and his sister attributed the hole to a Texas gopher.

The mixed chorus and girls glee club with organ accompaniment will feature Biblical readings and a free will offering will be taken.
