Fancy button coverings include silk embroidery with colored stones, and rings of silk embroidery. A stylish sofa cushion uses burlap with art nouveau tulips stitched in kid on green background. Silk or crape costumes use black satin covered with crochet in black knitting silk. Elaborate buttons arise from floss embroidery, beads, or chenille with narrow gold braid for original effects.
