The fifty first annual meeting of the Town City Presbyterial society foreign missions opened at the Presbyterian church with delegates from Muscatine Sigourney Davenport Keota West Liberty Columbus Junction Williamsburg Marengo Tipton Deep River Iowa City Crawfordsville and Cotter. The afternoon program included prayer by Rev Eastwood and greetings from Mrs C J Roberts of Washington plus short talks and a presentation Africa in the Heart of Africa by Dorothy Ellerton of Nado Arizona. A banquet at 6 30 pm featured Dr Eastwood presiding and speakers Mrs James Duguid of New York Miss Ellerton and Mrs L D Weld Cedar Rapids. An evening service at 7 30 offered a drama India Meets Her Namesake and a reading The Mansions. A tribute to Mrs M W Lampe was planned and Miss Winona Crile of Brighton who teaches at Mediapolis, injured in a recent car crash, is recovering in a cast and at Burlington hospital.
