Burlington police search Friday for Ed Richardson after Hattie Richardson 33 accuses him of striking her with a chisel in their car. A call reported a woman unconscious in the street. officers found Mrs Richardson who said her husband hit her with a nearby chisel.
In Des Moines neighbors called Murphy's goats Silver and Tiny offensive. A petition signed by more than twenty residents requests removing the animals from Murphy's property due to odors and health concerns.

The move follows charges against ex safety commissioner G K Rhoads who faces trial in Lucac county district court Monday on bribery related to bootleggers and gamblers.
