John Black, 87, lives at 215 West Madison in a ramshackle eleven-room Washington home filled with antiques from many ages. He recalls starting collection at age three and treats it as a passion rather than a business. His cluttered house holds books, canes carved with state symbols, a Mississippi River boat headlight, a fire chief’s tin hat, and numerous glassware and china pieces.

Funeral services for Elmer F. Kolosick, 77, will be held at 2 p m Wednesday at Jones funeral home with Dr. C R Reed in charge. Burial will be in Elm Grove cemetery. He died at 2 50 p m March 91 in Phoenix Arizona after a 15 month illness. He was born July 1 1876 seven miles northeast of Washington. He married Frances Soukup in 1904.
