Washington high school placed sixth in the state indoor track meet at the University Field House in Towowa ty Saturday night with 18 points, tied with Muscatine and Keokuk. Stutsman finished second in the mile, Crowe second and Bowes third in quarter sections, Allbeaugh fourth in the pall mile as the meet featured eight quarter heats and seven relay events.

George Park 65 died Sunday at his Marion township home after long illness. Born April 11, 1866, he lived on the family farm where he was born. Neal McClanahan Jr towed died April 3 in an Alexandria hospital from heart trouble. He would have turned 15 in May. He was the son of Rev Neal McClanahan former pastor of the Second United Presbyterian church, and lived in Assuit Egypt with his family. His sister Mary and brother Paul are in the United States, and the death was reported to the Foreign Mission Board of the United Presbyterian Church.
