Manila April 5 A peace proclamation is expected in June kept secret by authorities awaiting Aguinaldo oath of allegiance. Aguinaldo plans a manifesto to end the war and urge remaining insurgents to lay down arms and accept U S sovereignty. He may visit the United States to study American institutions.

In Adrian Michigan on April 5 Darius C Bachelder, a horse breaker, shot his wife through the throat in their home and then killed himself in an upstairs room. Mrs Bachelder died minutes later. Neighbors say the couple had quarreled frequently in recent days.
General George Tige Anderson famed Confederate brigadier who fought under Longstreet in the Virginia campaigns died in Anniston Alabama yesterday afternoon at age 77. He also served as a veteran of the Mexican War and was a noted military figure.
In a Pacific street saloon two men died and a third was seriously wounded after a shooting by Joseph H. Cordes of Elmhurst. Cordes fired at a woman acquaintance and at bystanders, striking victims and prompting a deadly confrontation early yesterday.
Peter Sjorgren of the Transportation Indiana was shot in the head and rushed to the city hospital where surgeons deemed his death likely. A. J. Shanley of the bark Har Vester was shot in the back. bullet not found and recovery chances were listed as fair.
In St Paul on April 5 the state senate passed the house primary election bill by 43 to 12. It calls for nominating all candidates except state offices and for election boards at a regularly called primary. All offices including town city county and congressional seats will be chosen on the same date with electors free to vote for any party. The house may adopt a few senate amendments.
In Coffeyville Kansas unknowns burglarized the city jail stealing several gallons of whisky and other liquor seized in a Monday joint. The liquor was stored in an inner cell behind two broken locks risking the convict’s future conviction. Markets and livestock sections follow with price quotes from Chicago, East Buffalo and St. Louis.
In Whitmell Virginia Mrs Sidney B Oakes details a long illness with paralysis on her left side loss of appetite and digestive issues. She recommends the medicines to others suffering as she did.
Six men blew open Citizens' Savings bank vault in Chardon Ohio early yesterday amid a clash with Night Watchman Pomeroy and a citizen. They escaped with under $200 after dynamite blasts. Watchman was shot and clubbed. Madison man tied. Two suspects arrested at Willoughby. Only one vault compartment breached. $50,000 believed stored elsewhere.
A Mexican dispatch reports Gonzales Michel a top Jalisco merchant was killed by his mistress at Tiapa. Police found body parts in La beata s trunk including eyes tongue and right hand. She kept the relics as souvenirs and cites fondness for the victim. Mental exam planned.
New York reports that a Hoboken New Jersey firm has cornered the peanut market by buying all nuts in Chicago Boston and New York markets and 125 carloads from Norfolk Virginia this week. Prices rose from 70 to 90 cents a bushel and may rise further according to a firm member.
