Eight Die In Charter Plane Crash Near Keeneland
A chartered Beechcraft carrying eight business and professional men plus the pilot crashed on takeoff near Keeneland Race Track four miles west of Lexington. Victims include three Lexington Medical Center doctors Dr Navarro Dr Cohn and Dr Schweet and University of Kentucky professor R C Simonini. Pilot Robert Yonk and other passengers were injured or killed as the plane burned after striking a fence and ground.
