Des Moines April 4 The Patterson bill on state income taxes for individuals and corporations was reported for passage by the house ways and means committee on a 19 to 2 vote. The measure would raise about 12 million dollars and tax rates range from 1 percent on the first thousand dollars to 10 percent above nine thousand dollars. The report set for house action has not been scheduled. The day also saw committee action on railroad and highway bills with several measures postponed or referred for passage or indefinite postponement. The senate considered related measures including a rail valuation bill and a highway administration budget with mixed outcomes.
