The body of Knute Rockne was moved to his South Bend home for viewing before the funeral set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church on the Notre Dame campus. Six Rockne 1930 championship stars to serve as pallbearers include Tom Conley Philadephia Tommy Yarr and Frank Carideo. Norway’s King Haakon, via Chicago officials, will represent the king at the funeral and knight Rockne within six months.

Death by own action ends John Genkinger life in Washington
John H. Genkinger 57 ended his life with a shotgun in the basement of his home at 302 East Seventh Street about 11 40 this morning. Coroner L A Jones investigated and named death a clear case of self harm likely linked to ill health and worry. Byron Wilson of Wellman Dies at 78
Byron Wilson, a well known Wellman area farmer aged about 78, died at Mercy hospital Iowa City after severe illness from a hand infection and related complications. He is survived by his widow and one son Floyd, a sister Mrs. LewIs Vorel of near Wellman, and he was predeceased by his brother Horace. He was brother in law to Tom O Flaherty who died after a recent automobile crash. Mrs Wilson and Mrs O Flaherty are sisters.
