Two Car Thefts Reported in Town Tied, Police Investigating
Lois Hill of Washington reported a 1960 model car stolen from in front of the Chocolate Shop at about 2 30 a m. The vehicle was later found in a ditch west of the Sportsmans Lounge. Larry Robertson said his 1970 car parked at the Sportsmans Lounge was stolen and remains missing. Robertson is Sheriff Don Robertson's brother. Law enforcement is investigating.

Four killed in head on collision near Clarinda
A two car head on crash on a Page County road southwest of Clarinda left four dead and one seriously injured. Victims include Lonny Nelson 17 and John Jones 15 with David 14, all from College Springs. Joey Nelson 13 was in critical condition. Wayne Clark of Maryville Missouri also died. his age was not listed.
