Mrs C O Bailey aged 90 longtime Washington county resident and Civil War soldier’s widow died Sunday at 2 30 PM at the Hendrickson home east of Ainsworth where she had lived two years Ill since January funeral services were held Tuesday at the Jones funeral home conducted by Dr Atack burial followed in Elm Grove cemetery She was born in Seelysburg Ohio September 28 1846 married December 25 1865 to Charlie O Bailey and was a charter member of the Woman's Relief Corps

A Kansas City stamp collector E N Bradley known for bold collecting methods is jailed in Buffalo New York for possible postal law violations. He allegedly conned John Applegate, a local collector, and passed counterfeit stamps. Authorities traced him from Washington to Kansas City. McGraw Rites Held After Illness in Washington County
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for George C. McGraw 59 at L A Jones funeral home. He died Saturday night at home nine miles northwest of Washington after a three week illness. Burial was in Sharon Hill cemetery north of Kalona. He lived most of his life in Washington county and worked as an auctioneer in South Dakota for 17 years. He was a member of the Elks lodge Huron S D and is survived by his wife two brothers Joe and Tom and a deceased brother Matt.

Three youths aged 13 to 16 were brought to court Tuesday morning on charges of stealing fireworks from the Phillips and Hebner drug store in the Hebner building on North Iowa Avenue. Charles J. Faulkner 50 of Olds took his life by hanging in his garage Thursday afternoon. He had been in poor health since January and had shown signs of despair. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Olds Methodist Church with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
