Federal radio commission sets June 15 as the switch date for about 600 stations to new wavelengths and powers. Iowa relocations include WHO Des Moines 560 kW, WOC Davenport 850 kW, KFNF Shenandoah 1110 kHz, KMA Shenandoah 1110 kHz, WOT Ames 1130 kHz, and others in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Council Bluffs. Schoentag Car Goes Over Embankment on Club Tour
A Chevrolet touring car driven by Juline Schoentag on a pig and calf club tour five miles north of town ran off a deep embankment after losing control on a bad road. All three occupants escaped injury. Maxwell suffered bruises and shock, while the vehicle needed towing for repairs.

George Freshwaters Named New West Chester Coach

Summer Vacation Bible School Opens With 52 Pupils
On Monday the Summer Vacation Bible School began with 52 pupils enrolled. Rev. F. W. Eastwood of the Presbyterian church leads three weeks of activities with groups for Beginners Juniors and Intermediates. Teachers are named for each group and a secretary assists. Vacation Bible School Opens at Prairie Flower Church

Mrs. Charles McGugin Dies in Enid Oklahoma Home
Mrs. Charles McGugin, longtime resident of Oregon Township, died at her Enid Oklahoma home on Sunday. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church the following morning. Survived by husband and four children, she was sister to Mrs. John Flynn and Jamey Swift, with brothers and half brother listed in Dakota and Davenport. A. B. Swift departed Monday for the funeral.

Swedesburg Church Destroyed by Lightning Fire
Saturday night about 9 oclock J L Pease driving to Mt Pleasant saw the Swedesburg church struck by lightning. The frame structure soon was ablaze and volunteer firefighters could not save it. The chemical tank from Olds arrived too late. The building burned to the ground with an estimated loss of $35000 and plans for rebuilding will be made.
