Start Corn-Hog Signing Up Soon in Washington County
Chairman O. C. Patterson announces that typing of 1,177 group one corn hog contracts has begun this week, with home signing possible in some townships soon. Passing of Lina Vaughn in Ainsworth funeral service
Funeral services were held Monday at L. A. Jones funeral home for Lina Vaughn eight decades old. She died Sunday morning at the Campbell home near Haskins from infirmities of old age. Rev. S. Fred Sharpe led services. burial followed in Ainsworth cemetery. Born 1847 in Mercer county Pennsylvania she moved via Iowa to Kingsville Missouri then Ft. Morgan Colorado before joining the Campbell family in 1917. A longtime United Presbyterian church member she devoted her life to aiding others.

Funeral at Sherman’s Funeral Home with Rev F C Witzigman and burial in Hillcrest Brighton.

Sheriff Putnam returned from Iowa City with Cecil Ayres of Iowa City, accused of burglarizing the L. C. Miller jewelry store in Wellman in April.
