Morrison Rites Held for W. W. Morrison in Washington
Funeral services for W. W. Morrison 85 were held Tuesday at Sherman's funeral home with Dr. B F Schwartz in charge. He died Sunday after a several day illness. Survived by six children and 18 grandchildren, Morrison had worked as a shoe repairman in several cities before retiring in 1934. He was a Methodist and Three-Quarter Century club member. He was born August 25 1850 in Jonesboro Tennessee.

Clark E Brown 87 died at his Wellman home Saturday night at 8. He was a barber in Wellman for 45 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 in the Methodist church with Rev. Thomas Osborne officiating. Burial was in Wellman cemetery. He was born February 27 1849 in Bennington Vermont. He moved to Daytonville in 1858 then to Wellman. Surviving are his widow two daughters and one grandson and a brother. He was a member of the Journal's Three Quarter Century club.

Parole Expected for Norton at Anamosa Iowa
Marvin North the inmate who became a hero during a prison outbreak at the state reformatory is set for release Sunday if the state board of parole can arrange employment for him by then. The board plans Norton’s release after he rescued guard CC Hall when convict Richard Renicks threw another guard from the wall to his death.

Auto Crash Injures Two Women Near Mt Pleasant
A Sunday collision three miles west of Mt Pleasant left Mrs Claud Rhodebeck with a fractured pelvis and Mrs John Cherry with a broken collar bone. Driver John Cherry and Mr Rhodebeck plus three Rhodebeck children escaped injuries. W M Fatherty of Des Moines sped through the intersection as he faced five cars, striking the Cherry vehicle and injuring three occupants of the Des Moines car.

Music School Plans by Harold Fry at Ottumwa
