Frank Chihak 72 Dies After Illness at Ainsworth Iowa
Frank Chihak 72 of Ainsworth Iowa died Wednesday evening after a brief illness. He was a harness maker for 53 to 64 years and married to Sarah Baltar in 1884. He is survived by his wife three daughters a son and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St James Catholic church in Washington with interment at Elm Grove Cemetery. He was a longtime member of St James and the Knights of Columbus.

Records Are Moved To Attic Room In Washington County
Washington county supervisors have reclaimed attic space above the courthouse to store rarely used records. Under the supervision of county auditor Miss Ethel Grecian and Deputy Walter Schroeder, workers moved files from the basement to a newly fitted room 40 by 15 feet. The space, accessed from a corridor near the sewing room, has shelving but no heat yet will house important records kept for long term safekeeping.
