Mrs Clara Droz Returns From Chicago Medical Care
Mrs Clara Droz arrived home Saturday night from Chicago after six weeks under medical care. She is recovering nicely but still weak. Mr and Mrs Rothschild visited Fairfield on Sunday at the home of Mr and Mrs Joe Falk. Ruth George teaches at Mt Pleasant spent the weekend in Washington with her parents. Mrs Carl Keck returned from Danville Alabama where she has been visiting since Thanksgiving with her son and daughter in law.

Fannie Simpson Dies After Brief Illness in Ainsworth
Mrs. Fannie Simpson of Ainsworth died Saturday after a brief heart illness. Born January 18 1878 near Ainsworth as Fannie Nicholson, she married William M. Simpson October 20 1896. Six children were born, four survive Lillian Vera Charles and Laird. Funeral Tuesday at the Ainsworth Baptist Church conducted by Rev T B Hamilton with quartette singing.

Earl R. Foster of Wallace's Farmer, now merged with Iowa Homestead, visited Washington to meet friends and promote farm safety. As circulation manager and head of the Service Bureau, he outlined efforts to curb farm thievery by cooperating with sheriffs and offering a fifty dollar reward for information leading to arrest and conviction. He traveled from Sigourney after completing a case and planned to proceed to Wapello.

Miss Rebecca Thomson Dies After Year of Illness
Miss Rebecca Josephine Thomson age 56 died Wednesday at her Keota area home. Funeral at Keota Presbyterian Church with Rev. Eastwood and Rev. Harper. burial in Keota cemetery. She lived in Keota most of life, born October 1, 1873 in Seventy Six township. Survived by brothers David and Will and nephew and niece Mr and Mrs John Wimmer. Active in the Woman's Relief Corps and Presbyterian church.
