County to Begin Sealing Corn Loans in 1940 Program
Washington county officials announced the start of sealing corn and government corn loans for the 1939 crop. Wayne Norman said loans will be 57 cents per bushel with 3 percent interest and a 1 cent sealing fee. Sealing runs into mid December with district sealers named for each township and farmers urged to register at the county office.
