County Sends Two Boys to Chicago Livestock Exposition
Washington county represents the state at the Chicago Livestock Exposition this week with John Young and Stephen Wolfer. Local boys attend older boys conference in Davenport
James Davidson of Washington was elected vice president of the South eastern down Older Boy's Conference held in Davenport last weekend. Donald Hedges of Cedar Rapids was elected president and Edwin Ewing of Clinton secretary. Twenty three Washington boys attended with a strong program and host Davenport. The Saturday banquet speaker was Attorney Silliman of Cedar Rapids who urged boys to build a foundation now for future leadership.

Funeral for Mrs. Elizabeth Kos Held at Washington
Mrs. Elizabeth Kos 78 died Monday at home 315 East Third street after two months of illness. Born November 15 1850 in Prague Bohemia she lived in Washington county since girlhood. Surviving children include Laddie Raymond Ed Will Charles Mrs George Mauer and Mrs R J Pruss with two steps and eighteen grandchildren. Rev A A Vinz led service with burial at Riverside cemetery.
