Tragic Death of Brown-Robbins Breakeman

Charles Norman aged eighteen was killed while working on the Brown-Robbins logging railroad. The accident is attributed to his own carelessness at the train. The body was taken to his Canada home for burial. Death of Washburn Resident Edward Deer

Edward Deer, a longtime local figure in Washburn, died Monday afternoon at his home after a prolonged illness. He leaves a wife and several children. Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church led by theModern Godmen order, in which he held a $1,000 policy, with interment in the Protestant cemetery.
