Horrible Death at Eau Galle Power Plant
Ellison Drake of Eau Galle formerly from this city died at the local power plant when his clothing caught in the shaft. The engineer was crushed as the machinery pounded his body. His daughter found him swinging. the watchman halted the machine. He leaves a wife and two children.

A City Man Breaks Leg After Hall Fall
Andy Rehaban a well known city resident and plant worker fell on steps at the Knights of Labor hall Monday night and broke his leg above the knee. He was taken to St. Joseph hospital at Ashland on Wednesday for treatment and may be out of sight for some time due to his age.

Washburn Sweeps Double Header Over Bessemer

City Schools Open for Fall Term With New Teacher Roster
Public and parochial schools began the fall term Tuesday morning led by a corps of teachers. Public schools list include High School principal D. William Young Suffered Leg Break in Accident
A Coleraine letter says William Young formerly of the city broke his leg while hammering with a heavy sledge. He was taken home, then into hospital in Coleraine where the leg snapped again in an attempt to walk. Mrs. Young reports a bad condition and a month or more of confinement. Washborn friends express regret.
