Diphtheria Claims the Life of Anna Ostrum
Anna Ostrum eleven year old daughter of Nels Ostrum living with Mr and Mrs Anton Wiedal in Washburn died Monday after a three week illness with diphtheria. Funeral was held Monday night with interment in the Protestant cemetery. The community extends sympathy to the family.

Ross Twins Die After Short Cholera Illness
Five month old twins of Mr and Mrs Hugh Ross Jr of West Pine Street died after a brief cholera illness. One child died Wednesday night and the other twenty four hours later. Funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church and interment followed in the Protestant Cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the community.
