Wisconsin delegates on the primary ballot will bear designations such as Taft Delegate Clark Delegate La Follette Delegate and Wilson Delegate to avoid voter confusion. County clerks are adding the designations after candidate names on official ballots to ensure clarity in delegate voting.

Voters will decide next Tuesday on detaching sections 21 22 27 and 28 in township 48 north range 4 west. The area north east of the city includes Houghton village and farm lands. Farmers seek township control to improve road maintenance though city tax revenue may not cover road and school costs. If detached, the city road to the county highway would be funded by the county.
The 25th anniversary celebration of the Norwegian Lutheran church ran Sunday and Monday evenings with Rev. Nord of Rice Lake and Rev. Stenberg of Duluth delivering addresses on both nights. A history of the church was read by the clerk, followed by a banquet in the basement where about three hundred people were served.
A meeting of the Pioneer Association will be held at the Commercial Club rooms on Monday evening April 8. All members requested to be present. The Pioneers plan to expand membership to include anyone here prior to July 1 1887. Applicants should contact Luther Bates or M C Lincoln.
Louis Latts of Ashland acted as a business visitor in the city last Sunday.
Loggers report pigs as highly profitable byproducts. A crew of 100 yields waste from tables and kitchens feeding about fifty pigs, finished on grain in spring, bringing good returns. George S. Barnes says he fed 180 pigs at camps last winter and soon will have about half finished for market, with the rest to follow. Pigs convert waste into dollars for loggers, dairymen, and beef raisers, offering notable savings.

A Bayfield County farmers group met Saturday at the Commercial Club rooms with many growers in attendance. Members debated potato varieties for the coming season and favored the rural type for planting. The association ordered seventy-five bushels of Harry Ohio potatoes and aims to order rural type stock, while appointing a three man committee to find a site for a new warehouse along the Omaha railway right of way with a lease planned.
Cecil Bembridge of London announces ten years of work on an electrical inkless printing method. The moist paper contacts a stereotype plate linked to a negative, forming an electric chemical imprint. If practical, it could revolutionize the printing industry.
The paper reports the June 9 marriage of Mrs. Gus Westerlund formerly of this city to Mr. Norman Worthington in Norristown Pennsylvania. Mrs. Worthington was well known locally and the news is published for readers of the Times.
Benjamin F. Runkle of Washburn was arrested at Eau Claire on criminal libel and attempted blackmail charges. He is accused of writing letters to the Edward Hines Lumber Co and to the Lumbermen's Lloyds claiming the Hines mill fire on July 1 1906 was set to collect insurance and seeking money. Runkle was jailed in Eau Claire pending a preliminary hearing after being lured to the city by a supposed insurance adjuster.
