Bayfield County Bonds Sell at Premium in Milwaukee Bid
Bayfield County sold an $111,000 road bonds issue to Second Ward Securities Co of Milwaukee for par plus a $1600 premium. Eight firms bid, with Shanke & Co Mason City Iowa and others offering lower premiums. The 18 year bonds carry 5 percent interest, later raised from 6 percent before sale to reflect market pricing. Proceeds fund county share for federal and state work in 1922.

Cat Saves Family From Fire at Wisconsin Street Home
Mrs Swifton and her children aged 8 to 14 escaped a weekend blaze sparked by an overheated stove.
