Mrs. Fredericca Thompson Dies After Weeklong Illness
Mrs. Fredericca Johnson Thompson wife of Barker Thompson died Monday at 5 am after a short illness. Funeral at 2 pm from her west 5th street home with Rev. Chr Christiansen officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Born January 4 1878 in Smeeland Sweden she was 43. Survived by six children six sisters and brothers and a grieving husband. Core members include First Methodist and Independent Order of Foresters. Out of town relatives attended the service.

The two week Farmer school at Ashland Junction started Tuesday morning with a fair attendance and potential for larger crowds as weather improves. The program aims to address Northern Wisconsin farming challenges from a practical viewpoint. Attendees should bring a half peck of grain from 1915 for judging and their own lunches. City Council Advertises Paving Bids For Summer Work
The council approved advertising for bids on five paving types from Omaha depot to Bayfield Street and Bayfield to Third Avenue West. Bids due March 28 with a March 31 adjourned meeting to select paving type. Work to start about June 1 and end by September 1. Also plans to construct a sewer on East Third Street and grade the street.

Thomas Hendricson a longtime resident dies at 75
Thomas Hendricson died last week at his daughter Mrs. Frank Dilree’s home in Washburn after a period of illness. He was 75 years, 10 months and 20 days old. Funeral services were held at the Dilree residence and his remains were laid to rest in Long Lake cemetery, Washburn.

Methodist Church Services Next Sunday in Two Pulpits
