Socialists Back La Follette in Wisconsin Fight
The Socialist Party of Wisconsin adopted a resolution at its state convention opposing a United States Senate candidate against Robert M. La Follette. The vote was 59 to 47 with 18 absentees. The party criticized La Follette’s progressive record and signaled possible cooperation with his forces, while debates raged over endorsing him or other candidates. Obituary: John Guskie Passes After Two-Year Illness
John Guskie of Washington avenue road near Du Pont Park died Sunday after a two year illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic church conducted by Fr Borucki. Interment followed at Calvary cemetery. He leaves a wife and eight children, the youngest a baby, with community sympathy offered.

Rowe Sampson Duo Wed in Washburn with Family Presence
