New Boat for the Bay arrives for Ashland service
The Chequamegon Bay Transportation Company of Ashland has purchased the steamer Skater of Cleveland. Captain Turgeon secured the boat in Cleveland and is bringing it to Ashland for the Bayfield and Madeline route with scheduled departures from Ashland at 9 AM and 2 PM and from Washburn at 9 30 AM and 2 30 PM. The Skater will operate until the Chequamegon arrives, after which the new vessel will run daily trips and allow excursions to the Islands.
