Large Contingent of Bayfield Boys Return from War
A large group of Washburn and Bayfield County veterans arrived home this week after serving in France with the 32nd Division. Several were aboard the Tuscania when it was sunk. Bayfield County plans a major celebration within the next month to honor their service, with a committee formed to organize the event. Madison report notes Assemblyman Downs criticizes the dry side over Enforcement bill 504A, blaming poor leadership for its defeat and urging passage of a reasonable enforcement bill.
