The Mondovi Herald, a steady LaFollette supporter, lauds I B Bradford for a fair respectful gubernatorial bid. It notes he withdrew when state sentiment favored another, claims no deceit on his part, and suggests former opponents may later aid him at home.
Bayfield County Republican officials order the county convention to elect nine delegates to the state convention in Milwaukee on August 8 1900. Caucuses for towns Bayfield Iron River Drummond Pratt specify July 28 1900 with delegations assigned.

Washburn defeated Bayfield two to nothing in a sharp fielding game at Bayfield ball park on July 4 with Keefe, Mullane, and Holgren keying Washington's win. Bayfield struggled with hits and errors as Washburn held a slim 2 run lead, and Ashland ousted Washburn in a separate Sunday contest as Wiggs allowed four hits.
A letter through Mr Richard Hawkes reports a $12.00 full settlement of a claim against the Northern Accident company with a policy holder expressing satisfaction and noting prompt handling by the company. Signed by A U Cramer.
Frank Dilree states he carried an accident policy with the Northern Accident Company of Menomonie Michigan and had a claim settled promptly. The company is represented by R Hawkes and monthly dues are payable at Twe Tres office for July.
The School Clerks from various districts held their annual meeting and re elected officers for the ensuing year. President W. H. Smith, vice president Nels Nelson, secretary H. C. Prudhomme, form the executive board. The committee remains unchanged.
Notice announces a Republican convention for Wisconsin’s Tenth Congressional District to nominate a candidate for the November 6, 1900 election. Delegates are allotted by county, with Chippewa Plein Falls and Sawyer County among the listed counties, and officers listed as H C McRar chairman and John Kelley Jr secretary pro tem.
National Republican League biennial convention in St. Paul Minnesota from July 17 to 19 1900. Fare seven dollars thirty five cents round trip with tickets on sale July 15 and 16. Return validity until July 21 with final travel arrangements.
Mona Lake Assembly in Madison Wisconsin announces ticket sales from July 16 to 28 1909 for a round trip fare of 12 dollars and 50 cents good for return until July 30 1909. Tickets available July 17 21 and 28.
Chetek Wisconsin hosts Chautauqua Assembly from July 11 to 22 with daily ticket sales at 3.85 dollars for a round trip. Return validity extends to July 23.
Tuesday July 17 a grand entertainment at the Methodist Church presents moving pictures of the Transvaal and Filipino war with interspersed music. Managed by Tindolf and Lloyd of New York admission 23 cents and 10 cents for children. Highly recommended for a full house.
Dissolution notices state Waegerle retires from the partnership Waegerle and Rasmussen with Rasmussen continuing and assuming debts. Dated June 8, 1900. A second notice states the firm Louis Wold & Co is dissolved by mutual consent with John Halvorsen retiring and Louis Wold continuing and paying debts. Dated June 9, 1900. Lovis Wop. John TALVORSEN.
