Community Institute to Open Next Week in Washburn

The Washburn Commercial Club partners with the University of Wisconsin Extension Division and the Wisconsin Anti tuberculosis Association to hold a three day Community Institute starting Wednesday. J P O Connor leads the event with gatherings each morning afternoon and evening for school children women farmers and business men. Washburn aims to set a regional example as the first Lake Shore city to host this program.

Well Known Bayfield Logger Killed In Log Fall

Napolean Rabideau a famed Bayfield county logger was killed in Russell when a log rolled from the skidway crushing him instantly. He was about fifty five and leaves a wife and three children who reside in Canada.
