Mrs. John Holmlund died at home Tuesday morning after a brief illness. Formerly Julia Mattson she had lived in Washburn for years and recently married. Regarded as a devoted Christian with many friends the community mourns her loss and extends sympathy to her husband and relatives ahead of the funeral set for next Sunday.

Bayfield Lodge F and A M trustees bought 30 by 80 feet at the west end of Rittenhouse avenue from Farrow and Emmons for $1000. A two story brick building will rise next season with a lower store and an upper lodge room. Until completion the lodge will use Herrick’s building upper story on Rittenhouse avenue.
