Post Office Box Rents to Stay Up Despite Early Cut Plan

Local post office officials initially cut box rents after receipts exceeded $5000 a year. A departmental ruling then halted the price drop prompting a detailed box inventory to be sent to headquarters. Until further notice rents remain 25 cents for call boxes and 50 cents for lock boxes per quarter.
