Father Desire Dies in Ashland Years as Assistant Priest
Father Desire, formerly assistant pastor at the St. Louis Catholic church in this city, died at St. Joseph hospital in Ashland from a paralytic stroke suffered last Wednesday. He collapsed during mass at the hospital chapel and remained unconscious for days. He had served here under Fathers Dunstan and Honorius before moving to Ashland four years ago to be chaplain at St. Joseph hospital. He was well liked and his death shocked many in this city.

Milk supplier Kiestler blocked by heavy snow

B F Runkle of this city plans a false imprisonment action against the Edward Hines Lumber Company. He was previously jailed in Eau Claire on a libel and blackmail charge arising from a letter about a Washburn mill fire used to claim insurance. Ashland Docks Face Hard Coal Shortage Amid Price Rise
