Nels Pearson Dies After Long Illness at Home
Nels Pearson died at his west side home this morning after an eighteen week kidney illness. He was about 46 and had lived in the city eighteen years. Lose All Fingers of Ashland Man After Amputation
John Bloomquist of this city underwent an operation at Ashland the first of the week in which all the fingers on both hands were amputated. About a month ago he froze his fingers returning from this city to the George McCulloch farm where he worked. After about a week several fingers on one hand were removed to save the hand and Tuesday the rest were amputated due to gangrene. He is seventy years old.
