Federal court request over Washburn railroad dispute surfaces
Receiver A C Frost petitions Wisconsin Supreme Court to transfer foreclosure and related federal questions to the United States circuit court arguing exclusive federal jurisdiction. The filing cites ongoing federal oversight and a last October order to tear up the railroad, while accusing local figures of political maneuvering and enjoining county payments connected to the Battle Axe matter. Knights of Pythias entertain guests with a grand march led by E Levinson of Ashland.
