Police halts Sunday shows at Gem Theatre

DuPont Powder to Add Triton Plant at Barksdale
DuPont Powder company at Barksdale will enlarge with a new triton unit adding eight buildings. The project follows five triton lines now operating and will start soon, employing many construction workers. The firm has about 1500 payroll staff and plans to continue a 20 percent bonus for salaried employees in 1916.

Robbery Charge Brought in Omaha Depot Case
Michael Ward was arrested by Chief A M Kerr and jailed on robbery charges against Harback the Omaha depot operator. An alibi claim places Ward in Ashland the day of the 6 15 departure robbery. A preliminary hearing is expected this week as investigators verify the suspect’s story.
