Present Crop Outlook For Wheat And Corn

The old wheat is nearly exhausted in our territory and harvest starts by July 1 but the crop will not meet early promise. About half the land is a poor stand, averaging around 70 bushels overall while the rest yields far less, due to drought and fly. Corn is small but clean, oats short, and clover prospects look good with a likely large clover seed crop this season. The market shows a Texas car of choice new wheat moving from Kansas City to New York, expected to be high quality with a 62 pound test or more. Bears are overconfident and ripe for a market surge after a long lull.
