County commissioners award coal and typewriter contracts
The Kosciusko county commissioners met in special session and awarded 125 tons of coal for the county infirmary at 3.39 per ton to Myers & Peterson and a typewriter for the treasurer's office at 8.85. The bond of James S. Smith as county coroner was approved at 25,000 with sureties Simon Crall Henry C. Milke and Nicholas P. Cook. A $32 truant officer bill was disallowed for lack of appropriation. In circuit court Maude Shinbarger was acquitted after a full trial. other cases included dismissals and notes. Probate court appointments and many real estate transfers for the past week are listed.
