Donahey says he will not seek presidential favors or assurance and stands by his candidacy while primary filing rules unfold.

Bunbury Sept 9 Contested Wilson Ware senatorial ballots from 1926 in Northumberland County will be destroyed despite efforts by two U S Senate committees to preserve them for a recount. Ballots used in the 1926 election will be reused in the September 20 primary, and the commissioners will not destroy the ballots before September 20. Local courts will not intervene, and without a federal court order the ballots will not be available for any recount.
