Pittsburgh May 4 C W Paskevitz 29 was sentenced to 18 months in the federal penitentiary at Atlanta Ga by Judge R M Gibson today for embezzling 8500 from the foreign department of the First National Bank. Paskevitz was employed as a clerk in the bank.

Deaf school closed after six of seven pupils gain hearing
Rochelle Illinois May 4 the Rochelle school for the deaf shut as six of seven pupils suddenly received the power of hearing at an evangelistic meeting led by Rev F Bosworth at Paul Baes Yoany Gospel Tavern. The six, all born deaf, include Gertrude Birgin's students Mary Houston Russell Houston Sam Houston Elvira Houston Miles Parkman and Gayther Bellows ages 12 to 26. The remaining pupil will attend the meeting in hopes of a cure while Bosworth calls the event a miracle though he denies spiritual healing.
