Remington Rand to Take Over Warren Plant Output

DeLuxe Metal Furniture of Warren announces a five year agreement with Remington Rand Co. to sell nearly all Warren plant output. The deal envisions expansion of the west side factory as demand increases and national advertising of DeLuxe products. Remington Rand will distribute through 300 agents and operate as a national supplier.

Mam Picked Up For Dead Suddenly Shows Life

MONACA Pa June 13 Mike Waygak of Colona near here was picked up from the roadside by state troopers apparently dead and placed in a wicker basket for corpse transportation When the hearse started back to the morgue Maygak sat up in the basket and swore claiming he had been run down by an automobile

York Hit By Heavy Electrical Storm And Lightning

A severe storm with heavy rain struck York Pa causing temporary factory disruption when a high tension transformer was struck by lightning. Alma Ickes of Hanover was knocked unconscious but revived by a daughter and expected to recover. A barn on Charles Bare’s farm at Shrinetown was struck and destroyed, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses.

Dig for Loot Buried by Escaped Convict

Philadelphia reports John P. Carroll left with two detectives to search near Baltimore for loot buried by the prison escapee two years ago. Detectives say valuables exceeding 100000 dollars have been recovered in the past ten days as they chart a route toward Frederickburg and Harrisburg.

Aviators Fail to Observe Camp of Nobile Again

On the S S Braganza June 19 U P two Norwegian flyers Riiser Larsen and Roisler Holm conducted recon patrols over the Nobile ice refuge district. They passed over General Nobile's party but did not spot the relief seaplanes while Nobile reportedly waved to attract attention. Blinded by bright sun on the snow the observers failed to see him though they were within two kilometers.

Cyclone injures many as Ohio storm damages towns

A cyclone sweeping Ohio injures a score of people, four seriously, and damages property up to 1 million dollars. Rescue crews search for dead and injured near Marietta and Buckeye Lake as 80 cottages collapse and timbers fall. Trees uprooted, farms ruined, and floods hinder efforts with roads blocked and power services disrupted. Hoover and Curtis Plan Campaign Conference on Porch

Earhart and crew reach London after Atlantic flight
