Handsome new flag pole placed in Memorial Park
Plans for the annual Flag Day exercises by Warren Lodge B P Elks No 223 and the American Legion include a ceremony Tuesday June 14 at Memorial Park. A virgin pine flag pole sixty eight feet tall was erected with the flag gifted by Mrs Perry D Clark and set by Warren Legionnaires and local workers.

Lancaster Chosen For 1928 Odd Fellows Convention
Lancaster selected as the host city for the 1928 Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows Pennsylvania session at Conneaut Lake. About 2,500 visitors came by automobile for the Meadville parade and home inspection. Grand Master John N. Mark received Meadville’s city key from Mayor William Jones as the procession neared the Odd Fellows Home. ER. N. Brown led the Gold Fellows Home Association reception in welcoming guests. The home inspection took several hours to complete.
